The Paths of the Warriors Peer Support and Healing with Jason Barto
In this episode of Let's Talk Dispatch, we’re joined by Jason Barto, a dedicated Peer Supporter and founder of The Paths of the Warriors. With a rich background in emergency services, Jason has served as a Ski Patroller, Firefighter, HAZMAT Specialist, and a member of Utah Task Force One. He shares his journey through some of his most critical incidents and how personal traumas have shaped his commitment to supporting First Responders.
Jason sheds light on the challenges many First Responders face when starting their healing journeys and discusses the importance of Peer Support. He also explores transformative practices such as Equine Therapy, EMDR, Shadow Work, meditation, gratitude, and culturally competent care, including smudging, chakra work, and shamanic guidance.
Join us for a powerful conversation about finding hope, healing, and strength through non-traditional paths.
Things to Consider:
What stigmas or misconceptions might I hold about seeking help for mental health, and how can I challenge those beliefs?
How do I currently cope with stress or trauma, and could practices like meditation, gratitude, or shadow work enhance my healing process?
Am I willing to explore non-traditional therapies like Equine Therapy or EMDR, and how might they help me or someone I know in navigating trauma?
